We welcome help of all kinds, whether it’s guidance from your experience, financial support, or skilled volunteering. As we build a new experience for kids, a new model, and a new organization, we’d love to connect with those who love our mission and have something to offer.
The past nine months showed us what can happen when kids have the time, mobility, companionship, and adult support to explore their community together.
We are here because
kids should have some free range in their world, like many of us adults experienced when we were young
extracurricular organizations can’t always take on the getting-kids-there problem too
being a parent or caregiver can be challenging in these times.
It takes a village.
Our mission is to get kids safely out into their world, free up parents/caregivers, and strengthen communities’ ties with their future citizens.

Free Range is still an early pilot project and is using an iterative hypothesis testing process to evolve its means of delivering on a triple bottom line mission. We are feeling for that new way of doing things that serves our local people and the planet within a sustainable financial model.
We're learning what works, what families need, and what it will take to make this kind of community-powered mobility and exploration possible for more children.
Support helps us take the next early stage steps thoughtfully. As we are evaluating regulatory pathways and insurance, building infrastructure, drafting grants, building our organizational foundations, and planning to open access for families who might otherwise be left out, we would love to partner with the right folks.
